Potentially the shaft from the XJ will work, it should be pulled, along with the XJ steering box.
The XJ steering shaft appears to be in good shape but, if it's not or it doesn't work next step would be determine if the U-joint itself can be rebuilt, else find the appropriate replacement for the entire joint or shaft if needed.
